Northwest (111 trails), including Grand Canyon, Lake Mead and Sedona
Southeast (51 trails), including Chiricahua National Monument, Saguaro National Park, Superstition Mountains and Santa Catalina Mountains
Southwest (17 trails), including Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and South Mountain Park

Arizona has many slot canyons and other narrow gorges, second in number only to Utah. Most are on the Colorado Plateau, especially around Page, on the Navajo Reservation at the south end of Lake Powell, where slots include the famous Antelope Canyon and Water Holes Canyon.
